Welcome to 208: Discrete Structures, I’m so glad you’re here!
In this class we will be studying the field of discrete mathematics and it’s relevance to the field of computer science. We will work on formalizing problems as mathematical, using discrete structures, and getting comfortable with writing proofs.
We will be building on the problem-solving you’ve been working on in in CSC-151 and CSC-161, and gain the knowledge needed to go on to our more advanced mathematically-inclined courses in the major.
