Project 3

For this project, you will run some Python code. It is not necessary for you to know Python programming before this point – as CSC-395 students who have completed at a minimum CSC-151, CSC-161, and CSC-207, I expect you to be able to pick up the basics of a new language with minimal effort and research on your part.

You may choose to either install Python on your personal computer, or use one of the CSC department Mathlan machines which already have Python installed. Labs on the third floor of Noyce are typically available in the evenings and on weekends, though sometimes there are mentor sessions which you should not disrupt. Also note that evening tutors are not paid to help you with this class. As an alternative option, you can also access a Mathlan device remotely here.

You do not need any special IDE or other software for this assignment. You can run the code from the terminal, and you can use your favorite text editor (such as emacs) to edit the code. Importantly, make sure you use Python3, not Python2 for this assignment.
